Hawaii Tech 5.0 was launched on January 1, 2009 to provide a history of research, science and technology development in Hawaii’s emerging innovation industries. Hawaii is celebrating its 50 years of statehood in 2009. HT5.0 will honor the past, report on the present and provide insight on the future growth of Hawaii’s high technology industry.
Hawaii Tech 5.0 is a project of the media marketing company, Pono Media. Founder, L.P. “Neenz” Faleafine has been involved with the Hawaii tech industry since 2007. Neenz is also the Chief Evangelist for Alltop, a leading news aggregation site owned by Nononina, Inc. Her research to build topics for Alltop led to the discovery of a wealth of information about Hawaii’s tech industry that encouraged the launch of Hawaii Tech 5.0.
